Overview

The Audix D6 is designed primarily for miking kick drums and offers a big sound with gut wrenching bass extension and exceptional attack.

The microphones are designed and built by Audix in America to a high standard. The D6 is a dynamic microphone with a very light diaphragm. This enables quick attack and excellent transient response. Pickup pattern is cardioid.

The micropohone features an extended frequency response covering the range from 30 Hz - 15 kHz. SPLs in excess of 144dB can be handled without distortion. In addition to kick drum applications, the D6 also gives good results with other instruments requiring extended low frequency response including large toms, and bass guitar cabinets.

The D6 is supplied in a black anodised aluminium body, precision machined with a male XLR connection on the bottom. A nylon mic clip is included together with a protective carrying pouch.
