The Soundcraft Si Compact 32 is a small but powerful digital mixer complete with Lexicon effects. Despite it's tiny footprint this mixer offers a comprehensive range of features and enough outputs to cope with dual FOH / monitor setups.

Most of the important functions are controllable without needing to use the touchscreen, which will help to make the mixer user friendly for operators who are used to an analogue mixer. The touchscreen is a relatively small colour LCD screen.

The Si Compact 32 has 32 x mic pre amps plus an additional 2 stereo inputs giving an equivalent of 36 input channels at the mix. There are also 4 x assignable insert send and return jacks for external processing, if required. There is an AES/EBU stereo digital input and output socket. 16 x analogue outputs are provided, including up to 14 x aux outputs. There are 4 x mute groups.

A 64X64 channel expansion port is also provided which enables the use of Soundcraft Si Option Cards including AES / AVIOM / CobraNet and MADI options. The optical MADI card enables multitrack recording, but can also be used to connect to an external Soundcraft Compact Stagebox.

Every input has compressor / gate / parametric EQ / High Pass Filter and delay. On the output side, all 25 mixes buses feature compressor / parametric EQ and a BSS Graphic EQ on every bus. 4 x Lexicon effects processors are provided. 'The One Touch Easy Mix' feature means a single key press will instantly reconfigure the faders to allow instant mixing to your chosen bus. Soundcraft 'Faderglow' lights up the fader slots with a clear colour coding key to show whether the fader is acting as an FX, stereo, linked mono, graphic EQ, post or pre-fade Aux.

'1 Control = 1 Function' design architecture means that every control can be labelled as they would be on an analogue mixer and improves usability of the Si Compact 32 control surface. 'Instant Access Keys' are provided to allow quick front panel access to important functions including Store, Recall, Next, Mute 1-4 and Tap Tempo.

In summary, the Si Compact 32 offers a huge amount of audio control & processing in an incredibly portable unit. These mixers will be useful for a wide variety of applications including theatre, school, church, corporate audio and for small live music events.
