The Sennheiser EK500-G4 is a portable battery powered receiver, designed primarily for video production work on location. It is powered by 2 x AA batteries, giving use for upto 8 hours. It is supplied with CA2 mounting plate to allow it to be fitted onto a 'hot-shoe' type fitting on a video or DSLR camera.

Two different output cables are provided for use with the EK500-G4. The CL1 cable has a 3.5mm mini-jack output, so is suitable for use with semi-professional video cameras and DSLR cameras. Alternatively, the CL500 cable can be used, which is terminated with a male XLR plug, for use with cameras fitted with professional XLR mic inputs. As well as the line-level output on the EK500-G4 receiver, a second mini-jack is provided to allow monitoring of the sound with headphones or earphones fitted with a standard 3.5mm plug.

Range GBW ( 606-678 MHz )

Range GBW is suitable for use on bandwidth between 606-614MHz ( Channel 38 ) in the UK, which is covered by a standard UK radio mic licence. This is the best solution for most users and offers reliable results for portable use. Upto 12 x systems can be operated together and the licence allows use across the UK, indoors & outdoors.

Frequency range GBW covers a total of 72MHz of bandwidth, enabling configuration of large multi-channel setups when 48-hour portable licences or fixed site licences are used for more specialist applications.

Other frequency ranges are available, which are suitable for limited licence-exempt use and for fixed site users. Please call our Sales Team on 01707 332104 if you would like to discuss this further, we will be happy to offer specific advice.
